With 25 years of experience in her field, Ms. Werner specializes in tax and Internal Revenue Service controversy and tax claims. On a daily basis, she is responsible for consulting with clients, overseeing tax preparation and Internal Revenue Service audits and appeals, and estate planning. Ms. Werner was recently selected to serve on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel for the Internal Revenue Service for a three-year term out of 600 applicants. She attributes her success to her hard work and compassion for her clients.
Ms. Werner received her JD from Creighton University and her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Political Science and Business Administration from Loras College. She received her certificate in financial forensics from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the La Crosse County Estate Planning Council, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Bar Association. She also serves on several boards and committees including the Chancellor's Advisory Committee at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation and the Family and Children's Center. Ms. Werner hopes to become a regional leader in tax planning and help clients with tax issues by taking proactive approaches.
