SEDONA, AZ, July 23, 2010 /Accounting PR News/ -- Each year, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) modifies the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam (the CPA Exam). Starting in January, there will be monumental changes to the content, structure, and computer-based delivery platform of the 2011 CPA Exam.
Professor Robert Prentice, who has been a very active member of CPAexcel CPA Review's distinguished faculty of U.S. accounting professors for several years as both an author and a CPA review course lecturer, explains these massive changes in a newly released high definition (HD) video. Clearly, Professor Prentice explicates the information students will need to know to pass the CPA Exam in 2011 and beyond.
About the 2011 Changes to the CPA Exam:
Based on his interactions with the AICPA and his extensive knowledge into their Content Specification Outlines (CSOs), Professor Prentice has compiled a list of the key changes to business law and accounting ethics and what the effects to the 2011 CPA Exam will be. In his video, hosted both on Youtube.com/cpaexcel and on CPAexcel.com, Professor Prentice discusses the changes to the 2011 CPA Exam. There will be more emphasis on:
• Ethics
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Taking a global perspective on accounting.
There are four sections of the CPA Exam. Regulation (REG) will test on:
• Tax responsibility
• Privacy acts
• Money laundering
• Copyright
• Patent law.
Auditing and Attestation (AUD) will add questions on the guidelines from:
• Department of Labor
• Government Accounting Office
• International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Professor Prentice's video as well as additional videos from other CPA Exam Review subject-expert professors can be viewed at the professors' video page on CPAexcel's website.
To meet the needs of students studying for the 2011 CPA Exam, Professor Prentice will present a brand new series of CPAexcel CPA Review Course video lectures in HD and his study texts this fall.
