PHOENIX, AZ, November 09, 2011 /Accounting PR News/ -- This is the largest photovoltaic rooftop installation in Arizona. Tom Lepley, who will be conducting our tour of this site, was the main engineer for this project. Tom Lepley is the founder and president of Phasor Energy Company, Inc. Phasor's mission is to promote the wise use of energy. The company currently specializes in innovative applications of photovoltaic (PV) technologies. Mr. Lepley has over thirty years experience with photovoltaic system applications. He has Bachelors and Masters degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University, and he is a registered professional engineer.
Evening session - Karsten Golf Club - 7 to 8PM. Our speakers are: Karl Schmitt - General Manager, Empire Renewable Energy Division, and Brian Hansen, Senior Tax and Strategic Projects Manager for Empire Southwest LLC.
Karl earned a degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Missouri and an MBA from Arizona State University. He created and oversaw power systems support programs as a regional manager for Caterpillar's power division, where he also earned certification as a 6 Sigma Black Belt. Prior to leading Empire's renewable efforts through all solar projects he served as service manager for the Power Systems Division of Empire Southwest.
Brian Hansen is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Arizona. Mr. Hansen is the Senior Tax Manager at Empire Southwest and has worked at Empire since 2006. Prior to joining Empire, he was a Senior Tax Manager with Deloitte Tax, LLP. Mr. Hansen spent 8 years in the lead tax services in Deloitte's Phoenix office where his clientele was mainly composed of closely held private companies which spanned many industries including real estate, manufacturing, retail, and professional sports franchises. Mr. Hansen has worked closely with Empire's renewable energy team in researching and understanding the implications of the various state, federal, and local incentives related to solar energy systems.
