Cornelius Gavin Strakosh Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Portfolio Management
Cornelius Strakosh has led a 49-year career in the banking and finance industry
ROCHESTER, New York, September 23, 2011 /Accounting PR News/ -- Cornelius G. Strakosh, Vice President of Morgan Stanley, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who as a Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in portfolio management.
At 12 years old, Mr. Strakosh opened his own checking account and took an interest in buying stocks. As he got older, he was able to pursue his interests through advanced education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics, and has taken business courses at Cornell and The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
For the past year, Strakosh has been involved with Morgan Stanley as a vice president. He works with clients to structure portfolios worth $1 million and higher, keeping up to date with the news and market in order to make appropriate changes. He handles a multitude of financial aspects, such as investment banking, stocks, private equities, municipal bonds, annuities, specialty investments and hedge funds.
Strakosh has led a professional career spanning 49 years, previously working with Merrill Lynch and UBS. He spent 16 years in international banking foreign exchange with Marine Midland; this work took him to New York City, London, Paris and Rochester. In addition to earning an expertise in balanced portfolios, he is experienced in pension and profit sharing. His goals are to expand his knowledge in endowment funds and do more traveling in order to enhance his international exposure.
